Mirror’s Edge Catalyst Trailer

I remember playing through the first Mirror’s Edge and being absolutely spell bound. The story and game-play were top notch but for me it was all about the styling. The bright colors, bold red and futuristic whitewashed landscape pulled me in deep. I was hooked. I actually cared about the main character, Faith Connors. Seeing her in this new footage is like seeing an old friend. I can’t wait to get lost in this game again. The game world is so different from what anyone else is doing, it was refreshing in the first release, from the footage it will not disappoint in Catalyst.

Mirror’s Edge Catalyst is being released as a prequel to the 2008’s Mirror’s Edge. It will be released for Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC on February 23, 2016. Watch the trailer below.

Eddie Redmayne Joins ‘Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them’ Cast

One of the lead characters in the much anticipated Harry Potter Prequel, Warner Bros.’ Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them, has finally been cast. There has been months of speculation on whether or not Oscar Winner Eddie Redmayne would take the lead role. He has now officially joined the Harry Potter family!

“Eddie Redmayne has emerged as one of today’s most extraordinarily talented and acclaimed actors,”

Warner Bros. Pictures’ President of Creative Development and Worldwide Production Greg Silverman said in a statement.

“We are thrilled to welcome him into J.K. Rowling’s Wizarding World, where we know he will deliver a remarkable performance as Newt Scamander, the central character in Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them.”

Redmayne will play Newt Scamander, “the Wizarding World’s preeminent magizoologist,” who travels & documents magical creatures then publishes the Hogwarts history textbook, which Harry, Ron, and Hermoine obsess over. It ultimately serves as the inspiration for the prequel.

Warner Bros. has already announced that a trilogy was in the works and they are expected to be released in 2016, 2018 and 2020. The first movie is set to be released on Nov. 18, 2016. J.K. Rowling will be writing the first film, her first screenplay, and the movie will be directed by David Yates, who is responsible for the last four amazing Harry Potter installments.

Joel McHale Joins X-Files Reboot

The X-Files is returning and the anticipation is killing us!  David Duchovny & Gillian Anderson are reprising their roles as Fox Mulder & Dana Scully.  The list of guest stars starts off with a surprising addition. First to sign on is Joel McHale, current host of The Soup and the star of Community.

McHale is set to play Tad O’Malley, the anchor of a conservative Internet news network (think Bill O’Reilly) who becomes an unlikely ally to Fox Mulder.

The X-Files will return on January  24, 2016 on FOX for a six episode run and promises to deliver the same epic storytelling the series is known for.  The show’s creator, Chris Carter, is leading the way for the series to return to TV.  The last time we saw Mulder & Scully was in the 2008 movie, The X-Files: I Want to Believe.

Fallout 4 Trailer – Bethesda Drops a Bomb

So, it’s everywhere on the Interwebz but we wouldn’t be doing our part if we didn’t share it here as well. Check out the new trailer for Fallout 4 from Bethesda. Not much has been revealed about the game, expect more to come on June 14th at E3 during Bethesda’s Press Conference (their time-slot is 9PM CST.)

This early trailer is already getting some criticism regarding graphics quality but we don’t really know if the footage is final or an early beta. I personally feel as though the Fallout franchise has never really excelled at character modeling but it makes up for it in the world building and story line aspects of the game. This is one I will definitely pre-order. What do you think?  Check out the trailer after the jump.
