“Right now, hey
It’s your tomorrow
C’mon, it’s everything”
These lyrics to Van Halen’s “Right Now” remind me of only one thing – Crystal Pepsi. If you were around in the 90’s you most likely remember the commercial. You either loved or hated the clear soda and unfortunately it was short lived. BUT if you loved the drink, you are in luck. Rumor has it’s coming back!
For a drink that met it’s demise in the 90’s, it has maintained quite the loyal fanbase. Maybe the biggest fan of them all is Kevin Strahle, aka L.A. Beast. He’s been rallying for the return of Crystal Pepsi for a very long time and this week they sent him a letter, which he posted on Twitter. You can read the full letter here but the most important part was this sentence: “We definitely hear you and all your followers and we think you’ll all be happy with what’s in store.”
PepsiCo has confirmed the letter is real and their representative wouldn’t give any other details other than “We think Crystal Pepsi fans are going to be happy with what we have planned.”
Warner Brothers has finally released the official synopsis for Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice:
Fearing the actions of a god-like super hero left unchecked, Gotham City’s own formidable, forceful vigilante takes on Metropolis’s most revered, modern-day savior, while the world wrestles with what sort of hero it really needs. And with Batman and Superman at war with one another, a new threat quickly arises, putting mankind in greater danger than it’s ever known before.
Fans of the DC franchise were treated to a teaser earlier in April which showcased Ben Affleck (Batman) confronting Henry Cavill (Superman) in the gritty, pulp noir version of Snyder’s Justice League universe. The teaser showcased fantastic voice overs from Jesse Eisenberg (Lex Luthor), Jeremy Irons (Alfred Pennyworth) and Holly Hunter, each of whom clearly echo the tone of the Batman v Superman synopsis and the teaser.
First In-Depth Look at Affleck’s Batmobile
Attendees at the Licensing Expo today were treated to the first real look at Ben Affleck’s new Batmobile in Las Vegas. This iteration of the Batmobile weighs in at 7,000 lbs. and features an active anti-ballistic protection system and a stealth-capable, fully armored exterior. Steve Weintraub, Collider’s Editor-in-Chief took a fantastic video at the Expo of the Batmobile revving up it’s engine:
Collider also captured 36 high resolution photos of the exterior, interior, weapons, tires, and more.

Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice hits theaters March 25, 2016.
The Punisher is Coming to Hell’s Kitchen
News broke today on Marvel.com that actor Jon Bernthal (The Walking Dead) will be playing The Punisher in season two of Marvel’s Daredevil. Jon Bernthal is a fantastic casting choice for this iconic Marvel character. He’s a gritty actor with the emotional depth and hardness needed to portray such a ruthless, justice-seeking character. Bernthal has most recently appeared in Mob City, The Walking Dead, Wolf of Wall Street, and Fury.
Frank Castle/The Punisher is a military trained weapons expert who ventures to New York City to settle a personal score with the Mob. Castle’s appearance in Hell’s Kitchen may signal a new threat or possibly a new ally to Charlie Cox/Matt Murdoch. Marvel’s Head of Television Joseph Loeb said today that “Castle’s appearance will bring dramatic changes to the world of Matt Murdoch and nothing will be the same.” Castle is notorious for going outside the law to execute justice. Considering Murdoch is a lawyer, this could prose a problem.
Daredevil received rave reviews after its debut in April, spurring an immediate renewal from Marvel and Netflix. Marvel’s next series to hit Netflix is Jessica Jones. Jessica Jones will air later in 2015, followed by Daredevil’s second season in 2016.

The star studded cast also includes Jessica Chastain, Kate Mara, Michael Peña, Sebastian Stan, and Aksel Hennie as the crew. Sean Bean,Mackenzie Davis, Donald Glover, Kristen Wiig, Chiwetel Ejiofor, Jeff Daniels play some of those helping the effort from Earth.
One of the lead characters in the much anticipated Harry Potter Prequel, Warner Bros.’ Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them, has finally been cast. There has been months of speculation on whether or not Oscar Winner Eddie Redmayne would take the lead role. He has now officially joined the Harry Potter family!
“Eddie Redmayne has emerged as one of today’s most extraordinarily talented and acclaimed actors,”
Warner Bros. Pictures’ President of Creative Development and Worldwide Production Greg Silverman said in a statement.
“We are thrilled to welcome him into J.K. Rowling’s Wizarding World, where we know he will deliver a remarkable performance as Newt Scamander, the central character in Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them.”
Redmayne will play Newt Scamander, “the Wizarding World’s preeminent magizoologist,” who travels & documents magical creatures then publishes the Hogwarts history textbook, which Harry, Ron, and Hermoine obsess over. It ultimately serves as the inspiration for the prequel.
Warner Bros. has already announced that a trilogy was in the works and they are expected to be released in 2016, 2018 and 2020. The first movie is set to be released on Nov. 18, 2016. J.K. Rowling will be writing the first film, her first screenplay, and the movie will be directed by David Yates, who is responsible for the last four amazing Harry Potter installments.

The X-Files is returning and the anticipation is killing us! David Duchovny & Gillian Anderson are reprising their roles as Fox Mulder & Dana Scully. The list of guest stars starts off with a surprising addition. First to sign on is Joel McHale, current host of The Soup and the star of Community.
McHale is set to play Tad O’Malley, the anchor of a conservative Internet news network (think Bill O’Reilly) who becomes an unlikely ally to Fox Mulder.
The X-Files will return on January 24, 2016 on FOX for a six episode run and promises to deliver the same epic storytelling the series is known for. The show’s creator, Chris Carter, is leading the way for the series to return to TV. The last time we saw Mulder & Scully was in the 2008 movie, The X-Files: I Want to Believe.
